Job Summary

We are seeking a Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Lab Technician to join our Southeast Operations team at our Boca Raton, FL location. This position is focused specifically on non-sterile compounding and plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, quality, and accuracy of customized medications. You will support pharmacists with day-to-day lab operations and work directly with ingredients and formulations to produce high-quality compounds that meet individual patient needs, including solid dosage forms such as tablets.

This position is part of the Operations department in Boca Raton, FL and will be located on-site. Schedule for the position is Monday-Friday 8 AM - 4 PM. As part of our South East Operations team, you will report directly to the Lab Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing customized medications
  • Compound non-sterile preparations (creams, gels, suspensions, capsules, troches, and tablets) in compliance with USP <795> and internal SOPs
  • Experience in non-sterile compounding
  • Operate and assist with tablet manufacturing equipment and tablet presses
  • Accurately weigh, mix, granulate, and process ingredients for both compounded preparations and tablet production to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Perform quality control checks and ensure all compounds and tablets are correctly labeled, packaged, and documented
  • Help manage inventory of raw materials and supplies, including tablet production materials, restocking, and logging
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date batch records, compounding logs, and tablet production documentation
  • Work collaboratively with pharmacists and team members to ensure timely, safe, and efficient medication and tablet production

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician
  • Non-sterile compounding experience
  • Familiarity with USP <795> standards and regulatory compliance for compounded medications
  • Registered with the Florida State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician (Required)
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and pharmacy processes
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in compounding
  • Ability to follow procedures and protocols with consistency
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to operate or be trained on tablet manufacturing equipment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in non-sterile compounding within a compounding pharmacy or production environment
  • Experience with tablet compounding or solid oral dosage manufacturing
  • Familiarity with tablet presses, blenders, or granulation equipment
  • Knowledge of different routes of medication administration (e.g., topical, sublingual, oral, and oral solid dosage forms)
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, detail-oriented work setting
  • Experience using pharmacy software systems for labeling, tracking, and batch record management

  • Physical Setting: Pharmacy lab (non-sterile), office environment
  • Shift Availability: Day Shift (Required)
  • License/Certification: Florida Pharmacy Technician License (Required)
  • Commute/Relocation: Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Boca Raton, Florida before the start date

Job Type: Full-Time

Hours: 8 AM - 4 PM Monday - Friday

Salary: $20-23 per hour
