Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Nonprofit Chamber Manager to lead and coordinate the activities of our local business chamber dedicated to supporting nonprofit organizations. This vital role involves overseeing daily operations, managing member relations, planning engaging events, and ensuring the efficient functioning of the chamber’s administrative functions. Duties
- Plan, coordinate, and execute chamber events, workshops, and networking opportunities to foster community engagement and member growth
- Supervise staff and volunteers, providing training and development to ensure smooth operations
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee service delivery for chamber activities
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks or similar accounting software, including budgeting, bookkeeping, and payroll processing
- Oversee administrative functions such as filing, front desk management, multi-line phone systems, calendar scheduling, and office supplies procurement
- Handle human resources tasks including staff recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and compliance with employment laws
- Manage office operations efficiently to support daily activities, including front desk duties and phone etiquette
Requirements
- Proven experience in office management or administrative roles within nonprofit or community organizations
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading teams or managing staff and volunteers
- Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software for bookkeeping and payroll processing
- Strong event planning skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with a professional phone manner
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in scheduling, filing, and record-keeping
- Knowledge of vendor management practices and contract negotiations
- Experience in human resources functions such as training & development and employee relations
- Familiarity with medical office management or similar environments is a plus but not required
