About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Production Line Operator to operate and maintain our nonwoven fabric manufacturing line. The operator will be responsible for running a complete integrated line from fiber opening through to the finished wound roll, ensuring consistent product quality and smooth machine performance.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation
- Operate the full nonwoven production line including: Bale Opener, Pre-Opener, Edge Trim Opener, Vibrating Feeder, Carding Machine, Cross Lapper, Needle Punching Machines, Cooling Machine, and Cross Winder & Cutter.
- Monitor and adjust process parameters (speed, frequency, GSM settings) via the touch screen control panel to meet product specifications.
- Perform startup checks on all machines including power supply verification, belt tension, drive chain condition, and safety cover fitment.
- Ensure smooth handover between shifts by recording and communicating all running data and machine status.
Quality Control
- Monitor fabric weight (GSM), web uniformity, and surface quality throughout production.
- Detect and respond to irregularities such as fiber tangles, belt misalignment, abnormal noise or vibration.
- Adjust carding machine speeds, cross lapper layering, and needle punching parameters to maintain consistent output.
Preventive Maintenance
- Perform daily and periodic lubrication of drive chains, bearings, rollers, and gear reducers.
- Clean machines at the end of every shift and inspect fastening bolts, photo-electric sensors, and conveying lattices.
- Report and document any faults, abnormal wear, or machine issues immediately.
Safety
- Follow all safety protocols — never touch moving rollers or remove safety guards during operation.
- Use Emergency Stop buttons promptly in case of any incident.
- Hang warning signs and isolate power before performing any maintenance.
- Keep the work area clean and free of fiber accumulation around moving parts.
Requirements
- Prior experience operating industrial textile or nonwoven production machinery is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret machine parameters and touchscreen control interfaces.
- Basic mechanical aptitude — able to identify abnormal sounds, vibrations, or wear.
- Understanding of lubrication schedules and preventive maintenance routines.
- Physically capable of working in a manufacturing environment (standing, lifting fiber bales).
- Attention to detail and commitment to product quality and workplace safety.
- Ability to work rotating shifts.
Nice to Have
- Experience with carding machines, needle looms, or thermal bonding lines.
- Familiarity with nonwoven fabric types and GSM specifications.
- Basic electrical knowledge (checking power supply, wiring connections).
What We Offer
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- On-the-job training provided.
- Safe and organized production environment.
Opportunity to grow within a specialized manufacturing operation.
