Overview:
We are seeking 3 passionate and dedicated School Age Afterschool Classroom Teachers to join our team.

Hours: 7 AM - 8 AM /2:30 - 6:30 PM Monday - Friday

The ideal candidates will have experience working with children and creating a nurturing learning environment while teaching social-emotional learning through centers, planned activities, and play.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum.
- Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for school-aged children
- Conduct activities that promote physical, social, spiritual, and intellectual development
- Collaborate with Administration and parents to support each child's individual needs
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom conducive to learning

Skills:
The ideal candidate possesses the following skills:
- Experience in behavior management for young children
- Strong classroom management skills
- Familiarity with progressive teaching methods
- Background in childcare or early childhood development
- Previous experience in a school setting
- Ability to engage and interact effectively with children
- Experience tutoring or providing educational support

During the school year, this job is part-time, however during school breaks and Summer months (May, June, July), it converts to full time due to staffing needs and providing all day care for schoolers during those times .

The ideal candidate is someone who is dedicated to providing excellent care, supervision, and educational experiences for children Pre K 4- Age 12.

Flexibility and taking initiative are paramount to success in the classroom here at UBC Academy.

This after-school teaching role is designed for individuals who are enthusiastic about actively engaging with children. The position involves direct interaction with students, including leading activities and providing support. It is important to note that the role requires a high level of physical presence and involvement, rather than passive desk work or cell phone use. Candidates should be prepared to actively participate in and facilitate activities with children throughout their time in the program.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
