Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a caregiver, CNA/HHA, or similar role, at least 1 of the 2 years must have been in a private home
• Ability to perform all activities of daily living including light housekeeping
• Have your own reliable vehicle to transport clients to doctor's appointments, run errands, and do general outings for enjoyment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to plan and prepare nutritious meals
• Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
• Have compassion and empathy
• Knowledge of physical and coginitive activities that can be done in the home.
• Have a passion for helping people.
• Be able to clear a fingerprinted background check

Responsibilities

• Provide cognitive and physical activities based on the client's needs
• Assistance with activities of daily living as needed (varies based on client)
• Prepare and serve healthy meals
• Provide companionship
• Monitor and document patient observations, ensuring any changes in condition are communicated promptly
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to hygiene standards.
• Provide compassionate care and assistance, focusing on client's physical and emotional well-being
• Incorporate physical and cognitive activities into the client's day
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families
• Follow individualized care plans
• Collaborate with the team to ensure a high standard of care and support for all clients
• Drive client to appointments
