Job Summary
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Assistant Teacher for our Pre-K classroom, starting in September 2026! Duties
- Assist in implementing daily lesson plans that promote literacy, math skills, social-emotional development, and early childhood education principles
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages respectful behavior and active participation
- Engage with children through play-based activities, fostering curiosity and creativity while supporting individual developmental needs
- Collaborate with lead teachers to develop curriculum tailored to diverse learning styles and abilities, including children with autism or disabilities
- Help monitor and document each child's progress, behavior, and milestones to inform ongoing instruction and parent communication
- Support classroom organization, including preparing materials, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to promote a cohesive educational environment
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development theories such as Montessori or other early childhood education frameworks is a plus
- Familiarity with special education strategies, behavior management techniques, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism is desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to assist in lesson planning and curriculum development focused on literacy education, math skills, and overall early childhood growth
- Demonstrated classroom experience with toddlers or preschool-aged children is essential
- Passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment
