Duties

  • Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that support childhood development milestones, literacy education, and early intervention strategies
  • Create a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques
  • Facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth for preschool children
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods and other educational philosophies
  • Support toddlers’ care routines, including feeding, diapering, and nurturing their emotional well-being
  • Use communication skills to build strong relationships with children, parents, and team members
  • Monitor children’s progress through observations and standardized testing when applicable, adjusting teaching strategies accordingly

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is preferred; classroom experience is highly valued
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education standards, and classroom management techniques
  • Familiarity with special education needs and early intervention practices is a plus
  • Ability to develop curriculum content that includes literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and other core subjects
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively while maintaining a safe learning environment
  • Certification in childcare or early childhood education is advantageous; Montessori training or experience is a plus
  • Passion for working with students of diverse backgrounds and supporting their welfare and growth
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
