Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist (MD) or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician's Assistant (PA-C) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive mental health care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders. This role requires a strong understanding of psychiatric principles, excellent patient interaction skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

We are an established mental health private practice with 3 offices in the Atlanta metro area and New Orleans. We started 12 years ago as a single therapist practice and have grown to over 20 therapists and 1 psychiatrist. We are looking for someone to handle medication management in our New Orleans (Uptown) office. We are looking for a psychiatrist or an NP/PA (who has a consulting MD) who is comfortable seeing and prescribing for all ages. For more information on our practice please visit www.alanbehrman.com. Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate mental health conditions.
  • Provide medication management for patients with various psychiatric disorders.
  • Document all patient interactions and treatment plans accurately in medical records.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients as needed.
  • Stay current with medical terminology and advancements in psychiatric care practices.

Experience

  • A Medical Degree with a specialization in Psychiatry
  • A Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatry or Mental Health.
  • Certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant is required.
  • Experience in pediatric psychiatry is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with medical documentation practices and patient assessment protocols is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $150.00 - $200.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
