NPD Specialist

The NPD Specialist – Fragrance is responsible for supporting and driving the development of new fragrance products from concept to launch. This role ensures timely execution of projects by coordinating with internal departments, suppliers, and external partners, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, creativity, and compliance with industry and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Development & Innovation

  • Assist in the creation, evaluation, and testing of new fragrance concepts, oils, and finished products.
  • Collaborate with perfumers, fragrance houses, and suppliers to ensure product alignment with brand positioning and market trends.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and market research to identify innovation opportunities.

2. Project Management

  • Manage timelines and project trackers for new product launches.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (design, marketing, procurement, production, and QA) to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Monitor project costs and work with procurement to ensure budget compliance.

3. Technical & Compliance

  • Ensure all fragrance raw materials and finished products meet safety, IFRA, and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee sample evaluations, stability testing, and quality checks.
  • Maintain updated records of technical data sheets, MSDS, and compliance documents.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work with packaging and design teams for bottle, cap, and outer packaging development.
  • Support marketing in product positioning, claims, and storytelling.
  • Assist production in scale-up and first batch trials for new launches.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain NPD database with specifications, approvals, and project status.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management review.
  • Document fragrance evaluations, feedback, and consumer test results.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Perfumery, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in fragrance.
  • Strong understanding of fragrance trends, raw materials, and formulation basics.
  • Knowledge of IFRA standards, GCC regulatory requirements, and product compliance.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred).
  • Attention to detail, creativity, and passion for fragrances.

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED13,000.00 per month
