NSW/SOF J3X Special Activities / Role Player

Rigid Tactical is seeking highly qualified former J3X to serve as Special Activities Role Player in support of Naval Special Warfare (NSW) exercises" . This position is a staff-centric role focused on mentoring and providing high-level feedback to NSWG and SEAL Squadron leadership during critical training phases.You will be responsible for injecting operational realism into the exercise while providing critical, real-time feedback to staff-level leadership on the integration and management of Task Force formations.

Qualifications/ Requirements

  • 10 years of documented experience supporting (SOF (USASOC/MARSOC) exercise support
  • Graduation from Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Level I or II, or a Senior Professional Military Education course.
  • Mastery of the Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES) and the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP).
  • Masters degree in a relevant field
  • Must possess an active TOP SECRET clearance
  • Must possess a current Driver’s License and valid Photo ID.
  • Previous NSW experience within the last three years is considered essential for this role.
  • Previous experience specifically mentoring or representing SRT (Special Reconnaissance Team) elements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Sensitive Support Operations (SSO), Defense Sensitive Support Activities (DSSA), and Joint operational doctrine.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the training audience regarding SEAL Squadron JOC and Task Force integration.
  • Mentor leadership on coordination processes, mission planning, and execution within a high-tempo staff environment.
  • Advise on rehearsal processes and contingency planning to ensure staff-level proficiency
  • Participate in the Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) development and scripting phase.
  • Provide expert feedback to NSWG staff to ensure exercise injects are realistic, challenging, and meet specific training objectives for Special Activities.
  • Ensure the "Interagency" and "Special Activities" nuances are accurately represented in the scenario.
  • Monitor exercise pace and content in real-time, providing recommendations to NSWG staff to improve exercise play.
  • Provide direct, constructive feedback to the training audience regarding their command and control (C2) and management across Task Force formations.
  • Assist in the post-exercise AAR (After Action Review) process to capture lessons learned for future deployments.
