Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine Consultant will be responsible for performing, interpreting, and reporting nuclear medicine diagnostic studies and providing high-quality patient care. The role involves close coordination with referring physicians and adherence to radiation safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret nuclear medicine procedures including PET-CT, SPECT, and other radionuclide imaging studies
• Prepare accurate diagnostic reports and clinical interpretations
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety and regulatory standards
• Coordinate with technologists, physicists, and clinical teams
• Participate in quality assurance and departmental audits
• Provide patient counselling related to nuclear medicine procedures

Required Qualifications

• MD / DNB in Nuclear Medicine
• Valid medical council registration
• 0–3 years of post-qualification experience
• Strong diagnostic and reporting skills

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of nuclear imaging protocols
• Attention to detail and clinical accuracy
• Good communication and patient interaction skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
