About the Role:
The Nursing Manager will lead the clinical operations of our home infusion pharmacy, ensuring exceptional patient care and full regulatory compliance. This role includes supervising a team of infusion nurses, coordinating patient care, and collaborating with physicians, pharmacists, administrative staff, and staffing agencies to optimize treatment plans. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a strong background in infusion therapy and nursing management.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership & Patient Care

Oversee all home infusion nursing services, including IV infusion, injection therapy, and chronic/acute treatments.

Assess patient conditions, develop care plans, and monitor outcomes.

Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff and respond promptly to urgent patient needs or adverse reactions.

Provide skilled nursing in home settings or Ambulatory Infusion Suites (AIS) as needed.

Educate patients and caregivers on infusion therapy and equipment use.
Operational Management

Manage nursing services across multiple care settings, including Home Care and AIS or AIC.

Ensure efficient workflows, quality benchmarks, and accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA.

Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient care and operational efficiency.

Monitor budgets and allocate resources to maintain cost control and sustainability of nursing staff.
Compliance & Quality Assurance

Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies.

Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, accreditation processes (ACHC), and monitor nursing KPIs (e.g., patient satisfaction, incident reduction).

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Collaboration & Communication

Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.

Participate in interdisciplinary case reviews and care planning meetings.
Staff Development & Leadership

Recruit, train, and mentor nursing staff.

Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans.

Deploy training programs to enhance clinical skills and patient outcomes.

Manage schedules to ensure adequate staffing and coverage.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN)

Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience.

At least 2 years in a management or leadership role.

Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and nursing best practices.

Infusion background with experience working within AIC or AIS healthcare environments

Proven experience managing large nursing teams and complex healthcare operations.
Preferred Qualifications (but not required):

Master’s degree in nursing (MSN).

Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) credential.
Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience.

At least 2 years in a management or leadership role.

Home infusion or specialty pharmacy experience.

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of IV therapy, vascular access devices, and infusion pumps.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.

Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and healthcare software.

Ability to inspire, mentor, and guide nursing teams while fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
