A nurse manager is a crucial leadership role responsible for overseeing specific wants, daily operations, staffing, ensuring high quality patient care and supervising nursing personnel.

Recruiting, training staff, creating schedule, enforcing compliance with policies and regulations, serving as a liaison between staff, physicians and senior leadership.

Managing budgets, controlling costs and managing inventory and equipment.

Monitoring the quality of care, implementing improvements and resolving patient and/or family complaints.

Pomoting professional development and building a positive team environment.

Clinical experience – Minimum 3 years.

Deep understanding of clinical procedures often requiring several years of experience.

Ability to lead teams.

Manage operational, financial and HR tasks.

Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams.

Registered nurse certification required.

Bachelor’s degree with courses in informatics and/or healthcare information technology required.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
