Compensation

• Salary Range: $40.79 – $61.19 per hour

• Sign-On Bonus: $15,000

• Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis

• Recruitment Fee: 20% of offered annualized salary

Position Overview

A hospital in the Dallas–Fort Worth metro area is seeking a dynamic Nurse Manager – Med-Surg to provide 24/7 leadership of the Medical-Surgical department.

This leader will oversee departmental operations, staffing, financial performance, and quality outcomes while ensuring alignment with the hospital’s mission, vision, and strategic goals. The Nurse Manager plays a key role in driving operational excellence, staff engagement, and high-quality patient-centered care.

A hospital offers comprehensive services including cardiovascular care, orthopedics, spine surgery, robotic surgery, emergency services, and dedicated women’s services. The facility holds multiple accreditations and certifications and is part of a nationally recognized healthcare system known for advanced technology and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 leadership and oversight of the Med-Surg department.

• Ensure alignment of systems and processes to support departmental and organizational goals.

• Oversee daily operations including staffing, scheduling, payroll, hiring, orientation, competency validation, coaching, and performance evaluations.

• Manage departmental financial performance and resource stewardship.

• Foster collaborative relationships with physicians, patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

• Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety standards.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – Required

Licensure

• Active Texas RN license or Compact RN license (eNLC compliant)

Experience

• Recent Department Director or Manager experience required

  • Strong Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ready to step into a Manager role will be considered

• Minimum 2+ years of recent acute care Med-Surg experience required
