Nurse Practitioner (1 day a week part-time)

_ Part-Time Nurse Practitioner needed in a multi-disciplinary practice- training can start immediately with the right candidate!_

. We are a team that prides ourselves on the high quality care and compassionate attitude we deliver to our patients. Our patient base consists of federal workers seeking care under federal workers’ compensation insurance.

We are looking for a friendly, motivated and diligent person to collaborate with other healthcare providers within our practice to help our federal patients return to work and reach peak performance. We would fully train you on the Office of Workers’ Compensation (OWCP) claims process- no prior OWCP experience necessary. Strong background in orthopedics or musculoskeletal background preferred._ In person training is required._

After training, you would start out working in person 1 day a week (must be available to work on Thursdays in Manhattan), with the possibility of adding additional days in person or virtually (telemed) in the future. You would work as an autonomous/independent employee without the need for an MD Collaborator. We are an outpatient practice- no nights, no weekends, no holidays, no on-call. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Successfully complete training course for working with federal workers’ compensation patients
• Implement and follow protocols and guidelines established by medical directors
• Assess and diagnose patients
• Design treatment programs, follow up and evaluate outcomes
• Educate and empower patients about lifestyle changes for sustainable results
• Utilize EMR systems to track patient progress
• Complete necessary paperwork and complete post-visit notes in a timely manner (paperwork time built into schedule)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a Nurse Practitioner degree and New York State license
• 3600 hours experience (approximately 2+ years) allowing for independent practice
• Must be comfortable with paperwork responsibilities
• Cheerful, upbeat demeanor and proactive attitude
• Team player
• Detail-oriented
• Excellent customer service and consultative skills
• Ability to cover satellite offices in person and/or virtually as needed
• Ability to train in person with our Head NP

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Orthopedic and/or pain management background
• Experience with trigger point and joint injections.
• Ultrasound training preferred

COMPENSATION:

• $80-90 an hour
