Nurse Practitioner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will deliver high-quality patient care across diverse settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, emergency departments, and specialized care environments. Your expertise will help improve health outcomes through comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, treatment plans, and ongoing management of a wide range of medical conditions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of patient populations, from pediatrics to geriatrics, utilizing your extensive clinical skills and passion for patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and identify medical needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following proper protocols and safety standards.
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations utilizing laboratory testing, medical imaging, sonography, and other advanced tools such as spirometry or spinal taps.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions across multiple specialties including emergency medicine, critical care, geriatrics, behavioral health, gastroenterology, and infectious disease care.
  • Provide patient education on health coaching, medication administration, nutrition, wound care (including suturing), and disease prevention strategies.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document patient encounters accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Participate in telehealth consultations to extend care access remotely while ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Assist in complex procedures such as catheterization, dermal fillers administration, or airway management in hospital or outpatient settings.
  • Engage in case management activities including discharge planning, utilization review, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities.

Experience

  • Proven clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in diverse healthcare environments such as hospital medicine, emergency room, ICU or trauma centers (Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience preferred).
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing acute pain, infectious diseases, hospice & palliative medicine, or post-acute care settings.
  • Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks; proficiency in CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-9/10) is highly desirable.
  • Background working with special populations including pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), geriatrics (memory care/dementia), assisted living residents or patients with complex chronic conditions like dialysis or ventilator dependence.
  • Skills in performing procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, venipuncture, tube feeding management, sterile processing techniques, and basic life support certification are essential.
  • Experience working within hospital environments such as trauma centers or teaching hospitals is advantageous.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
