Nurse Practitioner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive clinical background, demonstrating expertise in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across diverse medical settings. The Nurse Practitioner will work closely with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive healthcare services in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations including physical examinations, vital signs assessment, and medical history documentation.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on diagnostic evaluations and current clinical guidelines.
  • Administer medications, injections, and treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy, dermal fillers, and IV infusions with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Perform specialized procedures including suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, and sonography as required by patient needs.
  • Manage patient care across various settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient units, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or hospice environments.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and coding (ICD-10/ICD-9/CPT).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and utilization review to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards while ensuring high-quality care delivery.

Skills

  • Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for documentation and order entry.
  • Proficiency in performing advanced procedures such as spinal taps, dermal fillers, Botox treatments, and sonography.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology for medication administration including injections and IV therapy.
  • Critical care experience in ICU or Level I/II trauma centers; hospital medicine or emergency room backgrounds are highly valued.
  • Familiarity with medical coding systems such as ICD-10/ICD-9 and CPT coding for accurate billing processes.
  • Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs.
  • Skilled in telehealth practices to provide remote patient assessments and follow-up care effectively.
  • Knowledge of specialty areas such as gastroenterology, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, occupational health, or behavioral health is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing laboratory testing or medical imaging techniques like sonography or radiology procedures.
  • Strong communication skills for patient education on health coaching topics including nutrition, family planning, or post-acute care planning. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
