Job Title: Family Nurse Practitioner / Primary Care Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant
Location: Fitchburg, MA (serving surrounding communities including Leominster and Gardner)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Days Only (No nights or weekends; telemedicine on-call only once every 6 weeks)
Salary: $100,000–$135,000 annually, based on experience, plus quarterly bonus
Position Overview: A very well-established outpatient community health center is seeking a Family or Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their multidisciplinary team. You will focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse, multicultural patient population in a supportive, collaborative environment. This is an excellent quality-of-life opportunity with no night or weekend shifts and limited telemedicine call. All professional licenses and certifications are paid, and the role includes a competitive base salary plus a robust quarterly bonus program.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical assessments for children and adults.
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, and chronic illnesses in an outpatient setting.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines.
- Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic studies, including laboratory tests and imaging.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans and patient management strategies.
- Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Collaborate and communicate with physicians and specialists to coordinate care.
- Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives that support high-quality, efficient patient care.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant in the state of Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain).
- Current national certification as a Family/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (FNP/PCNP) or Physician Assistant.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience writing prescriptions for both children and adults in an outpatient setting.
- Overall 3–15 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant preferred.
- Excellent clinical judgment, ability to work independently, and strong diagnostic skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to compassionate, culturally sensitive care.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $100,000–$135,000, commensurate with experience.
- Quarterly production/quality bonus program, with potential to add 10%+ to annual base salary.
