We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to become a part of our private urology/transplant practice team. You will focus on providing high quality care, primarily office based with some hospital responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations and diagnostic testing
- Conduct patient procedures such as catheter placement/removal, bladder ultrasounds, assist Dr. Gould with in-office ureteroscopy scopes, ie
- Develop and implement patient treatment plans based on patient needs and medical guidelines
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Diagnose and treat patients with urology conditions, diseases, and infections
- Provide patient education, counseling, and support on disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle medications
- Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
- Document patient encounters, including assessments, interventions, and outcome, using electronic medical record systems.
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in urology preferred; however will train
- Preferred experience in documenting EMR
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and to multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- DEA License
- CPR BCLS/BLS or ACLS certified
- Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Must have great organizational and time management skills
Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
