Overview
Carolina Treatment Centers is hiring a Nurse Practitioner for our outpatient Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program. This role combines clinical care and leadership, supporting patients with opioid use disorder while overseeing nursing operations across two clinic locations.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Nursing Oversight
- Supervise RNs and LPNs, including training and performance management
- Assist with staffing, hiring, and scheduling needs
- Maintain communication across care teams to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in treatment team meetings and patient care planning
- Oversee medication inventory and assist with dosing operations
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
Nurse Practitioner Duties
- Conduct patient evaluations, admissions, and annual physicals
- Diagnose opioid use disorder using DSM-5 criteria
- Prescribe and manage medications (Methadone, Suboxone, Subutex)
- Perform telehealth visits as needed for inductions and follow-ups
- Review labs, PDMP reports, and patient progress
- Provide patient education on treatment and overall health
- Coordinate care for patients with co-occurring conditions
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2
Qualifications
- Active Nurse Practitioner license (South Carolina)
- Current DEA license with Schedules II and III in good standing
- SC Controlled Substance Registration
- Experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, or MAT preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
