Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. In this pivotal role, you will deliver comprehensive patient care . Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and detailed patient assessments to determine health status and identify medical issues
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Administer medications, injections, IV infusions
- Manage acute pain cases, perform triage assessments, and handle urgent medical situations efficiently
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately and maintain comprehensive medical records
- Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care and support patients remotely
- Educate patients on health management strategies including nutrition, family planning, memory care for dementia patients, and post-acute discharge planning
Experience
- Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU or trauma centers (Level I or II trauma experience preferred)
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex cases involving acute care, geriatrics, pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), or behavioral health populations
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner or eClinicalWorks is essential for efficient documentation
- Hands-on experience with procedures such as IV insertion/infusion, venipuncture/Phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, and catheter care
- Knowledge of CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 coding standards for accurate billing and documentation
- Background working within hospital settings such as Level I Trauma Centers or teaching hospitals enhances your ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
- Prior involvement in clinical research or outpatient clinics focusing on gastroenterology or hospice & palliative medicine is advantageous
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays across settings like assisted living or home care is highly valued
