Job Overview

Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews using advanced clinical judgment.
- Diagnose illnesses and develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications and injections, including IV infusions and botulinum toxin treatments, following established protocols.
- Manage complex cases involving acute pain, infectious diseases, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and senior care.
- Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, dermal fillers, and sonography with precision and sterile technique.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Provide telehealth consultations and participate in case management to ensure continuity of care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Engage in clinical research initiatives to advance evidence-based practices and improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner license with valid certification in your state or jurisdiction.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations including children, elderly patients in memory or dementia care, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for efficient documentation.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology (including psychopharmacology), CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and medical terminology.
- Experience in various clinical environments such as emergency medicine, critical care (ICU/Level I & II trauma centers), hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics.
- Skilled in performing procedures like venipuncture, phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, airway management including ventilator use, and tube feeding management.
- Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice.
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with compassionate communication to support behavioral health needs and pain management strategies.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams; experience with telehealth platforms is a plus. Pay: $128,785.16 - $155,096.11 per year
