Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive patient care across various settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and specialized care environments. Your expertise will help improve health outcomes through thorough assessments, personalized treatment plans, and collaborative patient management. Duties

  • Conduct detailed physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and identify medical issues.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, ensuring proper documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as sonography, spinal taps, catheterizations, and sterile processing when necessary.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions across multiple specialties including emergency medicine, geriatrics, behavioral health, gastroenterology, and infectious disease care.
  • Provide patient education on medication administration, nutrition, disease prevention, and wellness strategies while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist in medical documentation, CPT coding for procedures like dermal fillers or Botox treatments, and utilization review for optimal patient care.
  • Participate in clinical research projects or quality improvement initiatives to advance evidence-based practices.
  • Support triage activities in urgent care or telehealth settings to prioritize patient needs effectively.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, hospice & palliative medicine, or post-acute care services.

Requirements

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current state certification; additional certifications in family practice or specialized fields preferred.
  • Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), emergency room settings, or nursing homes.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems, CPT coding procedures and documentation standards.
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms; telehealth experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced procedures such as suturing, dermal fillers or Botox treatments (botulinum toxin), spinal taps or catheterizations.
  • Critical care experience including ICU or Level I/II trauma center work; familiarity with ventilator management and airway control is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform basic life support (BLS), sterile techniques for infection control and specimen collection/processing efficiently.
  • Excellent patient assessment skills across age groups—pediatrics to geriatrics—and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for effective teaching hospital experience or outpatient clinic interactions; ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams is essential. Pay: $129,861.52 - $156,392.38 per year
