Nurse Practitioner

Position Summary:

The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) provides comprehensive, high-quality primary care services to patients of all ages, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and the management of acute and chronic illnesses. Working as part of a collaborative care team, the FNP serves as a key provider in delivering patient-centered, culturally competent care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including physical exams, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for acute and chronic conditions.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as labs, imaging, and screenings.

  • Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in accordance with state and federal regulations.

  • Educate patients and families on health management, disease prevention, and treatment compliance.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, behavioral health staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and comply with clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

  • Provide care that is respectful of and responsive to the preferences, needs, and values of diverse populations.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC)

  • Current DEA license and prescriptive authority in the state of practice

  • BLS certification (ACLS preferred)

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as an FNP in a primary care or similar setting preferred

  • Excellent clinical, communication, and organizational skills

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • Outpatient clinical setting

  • Monday–Friday schedule with occasional extended hours as needed

  • Minimal travel between clinic locations (if applicable)
