Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Nurse Practitioner, where you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive patient care across diverse clinical settings. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties such as geriatrics, pediatrics, emergency medicine, and behavioral health.
  • Perform procedures including suturing, IV infusion, catheterization, spinal taps, dermal fillers, and esthetic laser treatments with precision and adherence to sterile techniques.
  • Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, and Cerner to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate care through case management, discharge planning, and utilization review to ensure seamless patient transitions across care settings.
  • Provide health coaching and education tailored to individual needs, promoting wellness and disease prevention strategies.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practices within the organization.

Requirements

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification in Michigan.
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, or patients with complex medical needs such as dialysis or ICU cases.
  • Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth; telehealth experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology for medication administration and pain management protocols.
  • Hands-on experience performing procedures like suturing, phlebotomy, venipuncture, sterile processing techniques, and basic life support certification.
  • Critical care experience in settings such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers is preferred.
  • Excellent patient assessment skills combined with a comprehensive understanding of anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments including emergency rooms or urgent care clinics while maintaining high standards of patient safety and confidentiality under HIPAA regulations.
