The Doctor's Office is an established primary care clinic in Hazel Green, AL, dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate healthcare to patients of all ages- from 1 week old to 100 years. We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, independent and patient-centered Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team.

Position Overview

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to a diverse patient population. This includes managing chronic and acute conditions, performing health assessments, developing treatment plans, and educating patients on preventative care. Additionally, the NP will provide care for their own patients as well as assist with acute visits for other providers within the clinic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and annual wellness exams.
• Accurately document medical history, diagnoses, medications, allergies, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and coordinate care with specialists as needed.
• Educate patients on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and prescribed treatments.
• Ensure timely completion of documentation and maintain high standards of care.
• Take after-hours on-call phone coverage bi-monthly as part of a shared rotation.

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) license.
• Board certification through ANCC or AANP.
• Ability to work independently and practice autonomously.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and car insurance.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems (eClinicalWorks is a plus!) and medical equipment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare partners.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and federal/state healthcare regulations.
• Expertise in disease diagnosis, prevention, and management.

Pay dependent on experience.
