Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Experience in family medicine or primary care is preferred. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive patient care across a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and specialized care environments. Your expertise will support diagnosis, treatment, and management of diverse medical conditions, ensuring high-quality care that promotes health and well-being. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations, patient assessments, and diagnostic evaluations to determine health status and formulate treatment plans.
  • Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform procedures such as suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal fillers with precision and adherence to sterile techniques.
  • Manage acute pain cases, perform triage in urgent care or emergency settings, and coordinate follow-up care for complex cases including hospice & palliative medicine and memory care.
  • Utilize EMR systems like Practice Fusion, or Cerner to document medical records accurately while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and specialists in fields such as gastroenterology, infectious disease care, cardiology (including cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology, and occupational health to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practices.
  • Provide patient education on health coaching topics including nutrition, family planning, post-acute discharge planning, and working with people with disabilities or developmental disabilities.

Experience

  • Proven experience administering injections, performing venipuncture, phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, and managing medical documentation in fast-paced clinical environments.
  • Demonstrated competence in handling complex cases involving acute care, inpatient management, nursing home experience or assisted living facilities.
  • Familiarity with ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems for accurate billing and utilization review processes.
  • Experience working with telehealth platforms to deliver remote patient consultations effectively.
  • Knowledge of occupational health protocols including DME (durable medical equipment), workers' compensation law, infection control standards, and utilization management practices.
  • Ability to work across diverse specialties such as geriatrics, behavioral health, pediatric care (including toddler and neonatal ventilator management), hospice & palliative medicine or dementia care is a plus. Pay: $57.00 - $79.80 per hour
