Nurse Practitioner – $95/hr | Outpatient Locum | 3 Day Workweek

A busy urgent care clinic in Rockingham, North Carolina is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for a 13-week locum tenens assignment (extension possible) starting ASAP. This is a high-volume outpatient role seeing up to 40 patients per shift — adults and pediatrics (ages 6 months+) — with full onsite support staff and an offsite supervising physician. Epic EMR training is provided, and weekly direct deposit is standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive acute care to adult and pediatric patients (ages 6 months+)
• Perform minor procedures: I&D, laceration repair, ear irrigation, and urgent care interventions
• Manage up to 40 patients per 12-hour shift independently as sole onsite provider
• Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR
• Collaborate with Center Manager, Medical Assistant, and Patient Services Associate
• Coordinate with offsite supervising physician as needed

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted FNP license in North Carolina
• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP boards required)
• Minimum 1 year of urgent care, acute care, or emergency medicine NP experience
• Active BLS certification required
• Epic EMR proficiency preferred (training provided)
• Strong independent clinical decision-making skills

Schedule & Compensation

• $85–$95/hour | ~$3,150–$3,370/week
• Three 12-hour shifts per week | 36 hours/week
• 13-week locum assignment | Extension possible | Start ASAP
