Position Summary
The Nurse Practitioner Academic Content Scholar (a.k.a. NP Subject Matter Expert) helps curate and review the academic information that drives Picmonic’s NP content creation. As part of the Picmonic scholar team, you will author and review content as it is transformed into our interactive audiovisual learning platform.

This position is an excellent fit for someone excited to contribute to high-quality educational content for Nurse Practitioner students and combine clinical expertise with creative insight to build and maintain Picmonic’s most important educational tools.

What You Will Do

• Author and edit educational materials ensuring the highest level of clinical accuracy
• Identify high-yield, board-relevant information for NP learners
• Write and review exam-style quiz questions aligned with NP certification exams (e.g., AANP, ANCC)
• Review academic content as it moves through production and auditing to ensure congruence with original material and adherence to current standards of care
• Direct modifications as necessary
• Collaborate with creative conceptors, illustrators, audio engineers, and other team members to design characters and build cohesive, engaging storylines that effectively convey educational content
• Offer experiential insight into product development and ways to better support NP student success

What We Seek

Credentials / Education

• Bachelor’s Degree (e.g., BSN, BA, BSc) or higher
• Current enrollment in or graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN, DNP)
• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (preferred)
• Strong performance on NP certification exams (AANP or ANCC) preferred

Experience

• Experience using Picmonic as a learning resource preferred
• Clinical experience in hospital, outpatient, or specialty practice settings
• Academic question-writing experience preferred
• Teaching or tutoring experience in nursing or advanced practice topics
• Superior academic and scientific writing skills with strong command of medical terminology
