Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant, where your expertise will directly impact patient care across diverse clinical settings. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs, to determine health status and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Manage a wide range of medical conditions utilizing evidence-based protocols, including acute pain management, infectious disease care, geriatrics, pediatrics, and behavioral health.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal filler administration with precision and adherence to sterile techniques.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for documentation, order entry, and medical records management.
- Coordinate diagnostic evaluations including laboratory testing, medical imaging, sonography, and specimen collection/processing to support accurate diagnoses.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medication administration (including CPT coding for billing), nutrition counseling, and health coaching.
- Collaborate with specialists in areas such as gastroenterology, cardiology (including cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology, and occupational health to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in telehealth consultations and triage services to extend access to quality care beyond traditional settings.
- Assist in discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and working within Workers' Compensation law for appropriate case handling.
- Support infection control protocols and adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and safety.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant with active certification.
- Proven experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency medicine (including Level I & II trauma centers), ICU/PICU settings, or outpatient clinics.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems for billing and documentation purposes.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth for efficient patient record management.
- Skilled in performing procedures including suturing, venipuncture (phlebotomy), sterile processing techniques, and basic life support certification.
- Familiarity with advanced clinical practices such as botulinum toxin treatment for esthetic purposes or pain management techniques.
- Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics (toddler care), geriatrics (memory/dementia care), assisted living residents, hospice & palliative medicine patients.
- Ability to handle complex cases involving dialysis patients or those requiring ventilator support; experience in acute care settings is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient assessment and interdisciplinary collaboration; experience with telehealth platforms is a plus.

Pay: $149,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
