The Challenge (Job Summary):

As a Nurse Practitioner you will embody our core values every day by delivering compassionate, evidence‑based care to patients across all stages of life. You will play a vital role in promoting women’s health, providing comprehensive gynecologic and reproductive care, supporting preventive health initiatives, and serving as a trusted resource to patients and colleagues.

The ideal candidate will deliver high‑quality primary and specialty women’s health services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients, while upholding established clinical standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Maintain compliance with all HIPAA, OSHA, and regulatory standards to uphold patient safety and privacy.
  • Perform comprehensive women’s health assessments, including complete physical examinations, gynecologic exams, obtaining detailed medical and reproductive histories, and documenting findings with accuracy and clarity.
  • Order, interpret, and integrate diagnostic tests, such as laboratory studies, imaging, and women’s health–specific screenings, to formulate preliminary diagnoses and evidence‑based treatment plans.
  • Administer medications, immunizations, and therapeutic treatments according to state law and clinical protocols. Perform minor procedures such as suturing of small lacerations when appropriate.
  • Educate patients and families on medications, treatment plans, contraception options, fertility considerations, prenatal/postnatal care, and preventive health strategies.
  • Promote wellness and disease prevention, empowering patients with knowledge on topics such as reproductive health, menopause management, STI prevention, and lifestyle interventions.
  • Connect patients to appropriate community resources, including maternal support programs, behavioral health services, and specialty care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to manage acute and chronic women’s health conditions, ensuring continuity of care and seamless transitions between visits.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including review and completion of patient charts, test results, and communications.
  • Respond to patient inquiries, triage clinical concerns, and provide timely guidance and telehealth consultation when appropriate.
  • Participate in obstetric care, including prenatal and postpartum patient management, in collaboration with the physician team.
  • Safeguard patient confidentiality in every aspect of care delivery.

What you need to succeed:

  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Minimum of three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting.
  • Current Ohio CNP, APRN, in good standing
  • Comprehensive knowledge of women’s health nursing theory, clinical practices, and regulatory guidelines
  • Proficiency with clinical instruments and equipment used in ENT and primary care
  • Understanding of safety standards, infection control measures, and best practices for maintaining a safe clinical environment
  • Skill in applying advanced nursing principles and clinical judgment to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care
  • Ability to obtain thorough medical and reproductive histories, perform focused assessments, and interpret clinical findings
  • Competence using electronic medical records—EPIC experience preferred but not required
  • Commitment to quality control and clinical excellence
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective in emergency or high‑stress situations
  • Capacity to interpret, adapt, and implement policies, guidelines, and clinical protocols
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and sustain positive relationships with patients, staff, and the broader care team

Certificates and Licenses Required:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) License

Working Conditions & Physical Demands: The work environment is well-lit, well-ventilated, and designed for comfort and efficiency. This position requires sitting for extended periods, as well as occasional stooping, bending, or reaching. The ideal candidate must be able to view computer screens for long durations and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative office setting. For patient care–related roles, the position may also require standing for long periods and the ability to lift or assist patients, medical equipment, or supplies — generally up to 25–50 pounds, as needed to support safe and effective care.
