Job Title: Nurse Practitioner (Oncology Preferred)

Location: Syracuse, NY 13210

Job Type: Contract – 15 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Weekly Hours: 42.5 Hours

About the Role:
Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive patient care in an acute care setting. Oncology experience is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments, evaluations, and clinical examinations

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Manage and monitor patients in acute care/inpatient settings

• Document patient care and treatment plans accurately

• Provide patient and family education

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

• Respond to changes in patient condition with timely interventions

• Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards

Requirements & Preferred Skills:

• Active New York State NP license required

• NP specialty certification aligned with practice area required

• Minimum 1 year Nurse Practitioner experience required

• Inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred

• Oncology experience highly preferred

• Medicare NPI number or eligibility required

• CPR and ACLS certifications required

• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
