Job Title: Nurse Practitioner (Oncology)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Contract Duration: 15 Weeks
Pay Rate:
Local : Up to $74.86/hr
Travel : Up to $85/hr
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Weekly Hours: 42.5 Hours | Monday – Friday

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Nurse Practitioner (Oncology) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse, NY.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and clinical evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with physicians
• Manage and monitor patients in acute care setting
• Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in EMR
• Provide patient and family education on diagnoses and treatments
• Utilize prescriptive authority per NYS regulations and policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results
• Respond to changes in patient condition and provide interventions
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license/registration
• NP specialty certification aligned with practice area
• Minimum 1 year NP experience required
• Inpatient hospital experience preferred
• Oncology experience required
• CPR and ACLS certification required
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
