Nurse Practitioner
Starting Point is an Opioid Treatment Program providing Comprehensive outpatient Medication Assisted Treatment in the forms of Methadone and Suboxone services. We are seeking a Part-Time Mid-Level Provider to provide a multitude of services for the Opioid dependent population.
Mid-Level Provider needed for early morning shift hours. Hours to be discussed upon interview. 16-20 hours per week.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Assumes responsibility for administering all medical services performed by the Program. The Mid-Level Providers are required to be licensed to practice medicine in the jurisdiction in which the Program is located. In addition, the Mid-Level Providers shall:
- Ensure that evidence of current physiological dependence, length of history of addiction, or exceptions to criteria for admission are documented in the patient's record before the patient receives the initial dose;
- Ensure that a medical evaluation including a Medical history has been taken, and a physical examination has been done before the patient receives the initial dose;
- Ensure that appropriate laboratory studies have been performed and reviewed;
- Sign or countersign all medical orders as required by Federal or State law. Medication order changes (dosage adjustments);
- Perform annual history and physicals;
- Communicates pertinent patient information to the Medical Director;
- Educate the person served about their diagnosis;
- Obtains informed consent for all procedures;
- Documents all patient visits appropriately in the electronic medical record (EMR);
- Maintains patient confidentiality per HIPPA requirements;
- Maintains patient confidentiality per HIPPA requirements and (42 CFR Part 2);
- Keeps current on new knowledge gained from conferences, workshops, professional literature, or other training and assimilates this knowledge into clinical practice.
Minimum requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited NP program.
- 1 year or more experience as a Mid-Level Provider.
- Current Maryland DEA and CDS Licenses.
- Computer skills.
- Knowledge of opioid agonist treatment.
- Knowledge of drug addiction concepts and the recovery process.
- Knowledge of chemical dependency issues and the types of treatment facilities, resources and human services agencies providing services to the drug dependent population.

Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
