Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are looking for a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to support Dr. Gilthorpe in the outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' ongoing pain and response to treatment.
• Administer ketorolac &/or steroid injections when appropriate.
• Issue appropriate prescriptions.
• Monitor labs and patient compliance.
• Assess post-op wounds.
• Refer for physical therapy and psychotherapy when appropriate.
• Refer for specialist care, such as neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, and psychiatry.
• Inform physician about any problems that might arise.
• Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for the patients
• Comply strictly with medical guidelines, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.

Dr. Gilthorpe is a double board certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain physician who specializes in minimally invasive surgeries, procedures, injections, and medication management for patients with acute and chronic, non-malignant and cancer-related pain.
