Job Title: Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) – Rheumatology

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic Rheumatology team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and interested in managing a wide variety of autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, and other inflammatory disorders. You will work closely with our rheumatologists and care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive patient evaluations including medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic interpretation
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician
Prescribe medications and order labs, imaging, and other diagnostic tests as appropriate
Perform or assist with in-office procedures such as joint injections and aspirations
Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, medications, and self-management
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed
Maintain thorough documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Coordinate care with referring providers, specialists, and other healthcare team members
Participate in quality improvement, continuing education, and compliance initiatives

Qualifications:

Current and unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of California
National certification (e.g., AANP, ANCC for NPs; NCCPA for PAs)
DEA license and prescriptive authority in accordance with state regulations
Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited NP or PA program
BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
Experience in Rheumatology, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty is preferred, but motivated new graduates with a strong interest in Rheumatology are encouraged to apply

Work Schedule & Compensation:

Monday–Friday schedule, no nights or weekends required
