Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, where your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes across diverse clinical settings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your advanced clinical skills in outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and specialty care environments. You will be instrumental in delivering comprehensive patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing high-quality medical care with a focus on patient-centered approaches. We are seeking motivated professionals eager to work an extra day to help us through our busy growing occupational health clinic.

Duties

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and evaluations for workers' comp patients.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical imaging, laboratory testing, and clinical research data to inform treatment strategies.
• Manage workers comp injuries through referrals and serve as attending as appropriate.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop discharge planning, case management, and utilization review protocols for outpatient care.
• Provide telehealth services utilizing telemedicine platforms to extend care access.

Skills

• Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and occupational health standards for injury management and return-to-work programs.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards for accurate billing and documentation.
• Experience in acute care settings such as hospital medicine or emergency rooms with familiarity in triage protocols and urgent care procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to provide education on post-acute care planning, and discharge instructions tailored to individual needs.

Must be able to work Fridays 8am to 8pm. There is the opportunity to pickup shifts in the urgent care as needed and if the occupational health side keeps growing as it has, the opportunity to add more hours per week and turn into a permanent position.
