Tri- Valley Orthopedic Specialists, Inc is a full comprehensive, multi-specialty, state-of-the-art orthopedic practice providing high level services to the community in Pleasanton, San Ramon and Tracywith X-ray, MRI, ultrasound, Ortho Tech department, DME, Physical and Occupational Therapy on site with an immediate opening for an experienced, matured Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant- NON SURGICAL for a full-time position. Candidate must be willing to travel to all our locations (Pleasanton, San Ramon, or Tracy). We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work closely with one of our high volume orthopedic hand surgeons, diagnose and treat health conditions, as well as promote good health practices. As an advanced practice NP/PA, you will be the go-to person for ensuring the best patient care possible. The job description of a nurse practitioner/physician assistant includes, but not limited to, conducting examinations, interpreting tests and overseeing patients’ health. You’ll be both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting injury prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives. As a nurse practitioner, you will be working closely with the physician and other health care professionals. We are seeking someone with a strong sense of team spirit and a professional, mature, and positive attitude. Patience, problem-solving skills and communication ability are important.

Responsibilities

  • Examine patients and their medical records
  • Order and study diagnostic tests
  • Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
  • Propose treatments
  • Prescribe medications
  • Maintain accurate records and schedules
  • Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
  • Educate patients and their family members on injuries and prevention
  • Oversee patients’ overall health
  • Promote good health practices
  • Telehealth
  • Advance professional knowledge and conduct

Skills

  • Proven experience as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a clinic, hospital, ER or other setting preferred, new graduates are also welcome to apply. Experience working for hand specialty a plus.
  • Knowledge of health and patient care regulations

Requirements:

Must have active and valid:

  • California Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NPI
  • DEA
  • Experience in Orthopedics/Hands and Athena a plus.
  • Spanish speaking a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
