Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing outpatient occupational medicine clinic. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care focused on workplace injuries, regulatory exams, and preventative health services for employees across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with work-related injuries and illnesses
- Perform pre-employment, DOT, and annual physical examination
- Manage acute and chronic occupational health conditions
- Conduct return-to-work evaluations and determine work restrictions
- Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, splinting and joint injections (if applicable)
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (X-rays, labs, drug screens)
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation using EMR systems
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care
- Communicate effectively with employers, case managers, and insurance carriers
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Current and active NP or PA license in the State of California
- Board certification
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient setting
- Strong clinical, communication, and decision-making skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with DOT certification exams
- Procedural experience (suturing, splinting, injections)
- Bilingual (optional)
