Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing outpatient occupational medicine clinic. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care focused on workplace injuries, regulatory exams, and preventative health services for employees across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with work-related injuries and illnesses
  • Perform pre-employment, DOT, and annual physical examination
  • Manage acute and chronic occupational health conditions
  • Conduct return-to-work evaluations and determine work restrictions
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, splinting and joint injections (if applicable)
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (X-rays, labs, drug screens)
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation using EMR systems
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care
  • Communicate effectively with employers, case managers, and insurance carriers
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory standards

Qualifications

  • Current and active NP or PA license in the State of California
  • Board certification
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient setting
  • Strong clinical, communication, and decision-making skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with DOT certification exams
  • Procedural experience (suturing, splinting, injections)
  • Bilingual (optional)

Pay: From $75.00 per hour
