Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Infusions, Part Time) - Rheumatology

We are a small private practice rheumatology practice in Boise, Idaho, dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients with autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions.

This role is open to & primarily suited towards PA / NPs who have strong IV experience during their RN or training years, and are looking for a part-time role 8-10 hours a week (2 days a week), and want to eventually leg into a Rheum NP role

Our MD is committed to a collaborative, patient-centered approach, and we’re seeking a motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join us - starting out with performing Infusions on a part-time PRN basis.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities - Short Term:

• Perform Biologics Infusions, Joint Injections
• Shadow and learn rheumatology while onsite during infusions

Key Responsibilities - Long Term

• Conduct patient assessments, including medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations for rheumatologic conditions.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with our rheumatology team.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
• Prescribe medications and therapies under the supervision of our physicians.
• Educate patients on disease management, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
• Document patient encounters accurately in our EHR system.
• Participate in ongoing training to build expertise in rheumatology

Qualifications

• Current or expected licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Idaho

No prior rheumatology experience required if open to part-time.

• Willingness to learn and train in rheumatology
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
