Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team providing primary care podiatry services. This role focuses on non-surgical management of foot and ankle conditions, with an emphasis on preventive care, chronic disease management, and patient education. In this role, you will provide expert clinical care focused on basic foot and ankle health, delivering comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. Starting at 24 hours per week, opportunity for growth
Duties
- Perform comprehensive foot and lower extremity evaluations
- Diagnose and manage common podiatric conditions
- Provide routine foot care, including nail and callus care
- Manage diabetic foot care, including ulcer prevention and wound care
- Perform minor in-office procedures as appropriate
- Order and interpret imaging and laboratory studies where applicable
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans within scope
- Educate patients on foot health, footwear, and prevention strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
- Collaborate with physicians for coordinated care
Qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with relevant orthopedic or podiatry training.
- Proven experience in clinical settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation specific to foot and ankle conditions.
- Familiarity with CPT coding and Medicare/Medicaid documentation standards.
- Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, patients with disabilities or developmental disabilities; experience in acute care or emergency medicine is advantageous.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to perform physical examinations and patient assessments confidently while demonstrating compassionate communication.
Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
