Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care, located in Falls Church, VA. The Nurse Practitioner will provide patient assessments, diagnose and treat common illnesses, manage chronic conditions, and develop treatment plans. Responsibilities include conducting routine check-ups, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, educating patients on health maintenance, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care. Qualifications


  • Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Virginia, with a current, unrestricted license to practice
  • Advanced certifications or specializations in primary care or family nursing are preferred

  • CPR/BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire

  • Qualifications

    ● Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

    ● Licensure: Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

    ● Certification: Board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, FNP-BC) or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Obesity Medicine Nurse Practitioner.


    Experience : 1–2 years of primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine experience preferred; New graduates with strong clinical rotations may be considered.


    Skills:

    • Clinical skills and experience in performing patient examinations, developing care plans, and managing chronic and acute conditions
    • Ability to order, analyze, and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory results and imaging
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with healthcare teams
    • Proficiency in providing patient education focused on preventative care and health management
    • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems; Athenahealth experience is highly advantageous
    • Commitment to patient-centered, culturally competent care.


    Other requirements:

    Should be able to reliably commute to Falls Church, 22044


    Pay:

    Hourly; Competitive based on location and experience
