Job Summary
OnSite Health is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide accessible, high-quality onsite primary care, urgent care, and occupational health services to employees at a state of the art manufacturing facility in Newport, NH. This is a unique part-time position (one 8 hour day per month, moving to two) that offers exceptional hourly pay, maximum flexibility, and the chance to make a real difference in workplace health and wellness.

All medical equipment, supplies, medications, testing kits, and a fully equipped private clinical space (including reliable internet) are provided by the client. You’ll focus purely on patient care while OnSite Health handles compliance, protocols, and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver primary/urgent care services including evaluation and treatment of acute illnesses (respiratory infections, flu, sinusitis, UTIs, strep, minor infections, etc.) and stable chronic condition management (hypertension, diabetes follow-up, etc.).
  • Provide occupational health support: triage and treat workplace injuries/illnesses, perform fit-for-duty assessments, return-to-work evaluations, and recommend work restrictions in alignment with company policy.
  • Offer preventive care, wellness counseling, health education, and immunizations (as authorized).
  • Prescribe medications and manage refills within scope of practice (no controlled substances).
  • Conduct blood draws, lab testing, COVID/flu/strep testing, minor procedures (abscess I&D, laceration repair, etc.), and chronic disease monitoring.
  • Collaborate with onsite Occupational Health Nurse, HR, Safety, and supervisors while maintaining full HIPAA compliance.
  • Document all encounters in a secure system.
  • Escalate emergencies per established protocols.

Services are focused on adult employee population. No gynecological exams, x-rays, or prostate exams required.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in New Hampshire
  • Current national board certification (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA, etc.)
  • Active BLS/CPR certification
  • Strong clinical skills in primary care, urgent care, family medicine, or occupational health
  • Excellent independent decision-making ability and professional communication
  • Commitment to regulatory compliance (HIPAA, OSHA)
