Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) — Part-Time Independent Contractor

ABOUT CULVER PRIMARY

Culver Primary is a direct primary care (DPC) practice in Culver City dedicated to personalized, unhurried, relationship-based healthcare. Our membership model removes insurance barriers so our providers have the time to truly know their patients. We are growing and looking for a motivated clinician to join our team part-time.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are hiring a part-time NP or PA on a 1099 independent contractor basis. This is a versatile, multi-faceted position with three core functions:

1. Patient Coverage

- Cover established patients when the primary physician is unavailable

- Triage urgent messages and conduct same-day or next-day appointments

- Maintain continuity of care consistent with our DPC philosophy

2. Panel Development

- Build and manage your own DPC patient panel over time

- Conduct new patient enrollment visits and establish individualized care plans

- Provide preventive care, chronic disease management, and wellness visits

3. One-Time & Acute Visits

- See walk-in, episodic, or one-time patients (urgent concerns, physicals)

- Document all encounters in the EHR and coordinate with the supervising physician

4. Aesthetic Services — Training Provided

- Train and become proficient in laser hair removal

- Perform aesthetic treatments under established protocols

- Maintain patient safety standards and proper documentation

- Opportunity to expand into additional aesthetic services as the practice grows

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

- Active, unrestricted NP or PA license in California

- Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority

- Board certification (FNP, AGPCNP, or equivalent; NCCPA for PAs)

- Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience in primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine

- Strong clinical judgment and a patient-centered approach

- Ability to work independently and collaborate with the supervising physician

Preferred:

- Experience in a DPC, concierge, or outpatient primary care setting

- Prior interest or experience in aesthetic medicine or laser procedures

- Familiarity with DPC platforms (Hint Health, Elation, Spruce)

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. The contractor is responsible for their own taxes, malpractice insurance, and benefits. The hourly rate reflects a market-adjusted premium above typical W-2 NP/PA rates in the Los Angeles area. Culver Primary will provide full training on all aesthetic services.
