Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to inform diagnosis and treatment strategies
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical imaging, laboratory testing, and clinical research data to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, and perform suturing with precision and adherence to sterile techniques
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties such as emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and hospice & palliative care
  • Utilize EMR systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, and Cerner for comprehensive medical documentation, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and patient records management
  • Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to quality care while maintaining HIPAA compliance and secure patient communication
  • Engage in patient education and health coaching to promote wellness, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications

Skills

  • Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, and Athenahealth for efficient documentation and case management
  • Proficiency in performing procedures such as venipuncture, catheterization, spinal taps, tube feeding management, and sterile processing techniques
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology (including psychopharmacology), and diagnostic evaluation methods
  • Skilled in managing complex cases involving ICU/Level I & II trauma center experience or hospital medicine settings
  • Familiarity with diverse care environments such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, inpatient units, outpatient clinics, home care services, and post-acute care settings
  • Experience with specialized treatments like esthetic laser therapy, neurotoxin injections for botulinum toxin treatment, dermal fillers, and spinal tap procedures
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages including children (pediatrics), toddlers (toddler care), neonates (neonatal ventilator), and seniors (geriatrics & memory care)
  • Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and utilization review processes for occupational health cases
  • Competence in infection control protocols including aseptic technique and infection prevention measures

Pay: Up to $180,000.00 per year
