Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant-Certified (NP) to join our dynamic orthopedic surgery team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care to patients through direct clinical practice, patient education, and collaboration with our surgical and clinical team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Independently assess, diagnose, and manage patients with orthopedic conditions, both pre- and post-operatively.
- Cell Therapy Consults: Conduct thorough histories and physical examinations for patients interested in orthobiologic treatment options. Provide recommendations and schedule procedures as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with orthopedic surgeons to develop and implement treatment plans. Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
- Patient Education: Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, post-operative care, and rehabilitation processes.
- Surgical Assistance: Assist in the operating room as needed, supporting the surgical team during procedures.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Follow-Up Care: Conduct post-operative follow-ups and manage patient inquiries regarding their care.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) from an accredited program or Graduated from an accredited PA program by ARC-PA.
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA.
- Prior experience in orthopedic medicine preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Skills:
· Strong understanding of medical concepts and terminology

· Ability to manage airways and provide triage care
· Familiarity with hospital medicine and home care settings
· Knowledge of family planning and pediatric medicine

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $108,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
