Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant for Urgent Care

Huntington Beach Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in urgent care, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
• Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain detailed patient histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays.
• Develop and implement patient care plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.
• Perform minor surgical procedures, such as suturing, incision and drainage, and splinting.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of California.
• Certification by a nationally recognized certifying body (e.g., AANP, ANCC for NPs; NCCPA for PAs).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a related field.
• Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of best practices in urgent care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
