Job Summary
We are an independent medical office seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various clinical settings, including acute care, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics. This role involves providing comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosing illnesses, developing treatment plans to deliver exceptional patient care. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems is essential. The Nurse Practitioner will also engage in medical documentation, medication administration, and patient education to promote optimal health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments across diverse populations including pediatric, adult and geriatric.
- Diagnose acute and chronic conditions utilizing diagnostic evaluation tools and clinical judgment.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices for conditions like acute pain management, infectious disease care, and behavioral health issues.
- Administer medications and injections.
- Perform procedures such as suturing and GYN examinations.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation including ICD 10 coding and CPT coding.
- Engage in telehealth services to expand access to care while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide health coaching on nutrition, disease prevention, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with specialists in areas like ophthalmology, occupational health, hospice & palliative medicine, neurodevelopmental disabilities management (including working with individuals with developmental disabilities), and infectious disease control.
- Participate in discharge planning, utilization review/management, case management activities for outpatient settings.
- Ensure infection control standards are maintained through aseptic technique and sterile processing protocols.
Requirements
- Current Nurse Practitioner license with valid certification in relevant specialties; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
- Proven experience in diverse clinical environment, urgent care settings, outpatient clinics.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Practice Fusion, Epic, Cerner or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with ICD 10 coding and CPT coding is essential.
- Experience performing procedures such as suturing, venipuncture/phlebotomy, insertion/injection administration; knowledge of sterile techniques required
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology (including psychopharmacology), infection control protocols, and medical terminology.
- Excellent patient communication skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including pediatrics (working with children/toddlers), geriatrics (memory/dementia care) or hospice patients.

Pay: $55.00 per hour
