Nursery Assistant Teacher

Job Description:-

The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in managing the classroom, caring for children, and maintaining the learning environment. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is passionate about working with young children and wants to grow in the field of early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities:-

•Support the Lead Teacher in all classroom activities — set up materials, assist during group activities, supervise free play

•Attend to children’s basic care needs: toileting, hand-washing, feeding assistance, changing clothes

•Ensure children’s safety at all times — during play, transitions, outdoor time, and meal time •Help maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic classroom environment

•Engage warmly with children — talk to them, play with them, comfort them when needed •Assist with arrival and dismissal routines, including handing over children to parents/guardians

•Prepare and clean up materials for art, sensory play, and other activities

•Observe and report any concerns about a child’s well-being to the Lead Teacher

•Attend training sessions and team meetings as required

Required Qualifications:-

•Minimum 12th pass (Higher Secondary). Diploma in NTT / ECE / childcare preferred but not mandatory

•Some experience working with or caring for young children (even informal — creche, daycare, family setting)

•Basic communication in English; fluency in Tamil

•Warm, patient, and responsible personality

•Physically active and able to keep up with young children throughout the day

•Willingness to learn and take feedback.

Preferred (Good to Have):-

•NTT or ECE diploma (ongoing or completed)

•First aid training

•Previous experience in a preschool or daycare

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹15,000.00 per month
