About The Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic Nursery Center Associate to join our team at Mosser Meadow Nurseries on a seasonal basis. This role typically begins in March and continues through December. Strong customer service skills are essential as you will be responsible for interacting and assisting our diverse range of customers with their nursery related questions, guiding them to create beautiful spaces. The ideal candidate has a passion for horticulture; experience is preferred. Applicants should be able to lift and move plant materials and demonstrate a team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn continually about new plant varieties. We offer a supportive work environment focused on sustainability and customer education. Full time positionsare available. The associate’s duties will include, but are not limited to:

· Daily watering of all plants.

· Unloading and loading trucks

· Daily Inspection and care of merchandise

· Ensuring all plants in garden center are priced

· Communicate effectively with fellow gardeners and customers

· Advise on plant selection, planting, fertilization, garden layout, planting plant care, and pruning.

· Assist customers with garden related questions and recommendations.

· Assist in general nursery maintenance, including watering and pruning plant inventory

· Learn and implement daily and seasonal operating and closing procedures

· Operate cash register

· Restock nursery center merchandise

· Manage Inventory

· Maintain healthy, attractive plant displays

· Must be reliable and have transportation

· Available for both week days and Saturday shift during peak season

· Ability to stand, push, pull, bend, stretch, and capable of lifting at least 40 pounds

· Comfortable working in all weather conditions (indoor and outdoor work environment)

· Ability to follow directions and work independently when needed.

Pay & Benefits
